Fall '91 through summer '92 stripped it down to bare metal. It'd been hit on drivers side door and part of rear 1/4, hit in the rear and pushed forward a bit and hit on the right side front fender.
It seemed like this thing had little dings all over the place. I cut off all the mounting studs for the trim on the sides and the top. It looked tacky and I didn't want to put it back on anyway.
Had some rust repair on right rear 1/4 panel
It came from the factory with the SkyRoof option. It's really cool in the summer but when it rains it would soak the seat directly where you sit on the drivers and passengers side. Not good when you go to school with a wet butt looking like you had an accident. The girls thought I was one cool dude.
Finally - primer in spring 1992.
June, 1992 - Finished painting and put back together. I'm the skinny guy (at the time) on the left.
1994 - Up at the lake. Reflection on passenger side is from another car. I never liked the hot pink on anything of my own.
She's no show car but looks good. It gets driven and driven hard a lot.
This is one of my favorites. It still had those '80's gold wheels, though. Man, they sure were ugly. Thankfully those are long gone.
