ENGINE BAY
Here is my engine bay. It has also seen many changes. Here it is basically stock. A drop-in K&N air filter with the box cut to improve air flow, red silicone hoses, and a few pieces painted red.

I then replaced the K&N air filter with a short ram from Ractive. It was orignally from a Honda Accord. It need about 6-inches cut off of it to make it fit. Red plug wires and a new battery were also added.

I then painted my valve cover with a metallic blue paint. The timing belt cover and oil cap were also painted red. I also fabricated a few aluminum check plate covers to dress up the engine a bit. They include an intake cover, exhaust manifold cover and fuse box cover.

The only change here was a new aluminum oil cap. I think it looks much better.

These changes were due the fact that I drove through a deep puddle and hydro-locked my engine. I replaced it myself and in the process got rid of the intake and exhaust covers. Changed to a heatshield style Ractive air filter. Removed timing belt cover. New red silicone intake coupler to replace the old yellow one. New plug wires, this time black. I also put on a Arospeed strut tower bar painted metallic red.

Future plans are dropping in another 4g15 (from my other car) because this one is burning oil now. I would be the 3rd motor for the car but probably not the last. I still have hopes of putting in a 4g63t 2.0L motor from an Eagle Talon/Mitsubishi Eclipse.
November 2006:
I have purchased an Evo I-III timing side engine mount that would make this swap alot easier. See as it was one area that I was worried about.
