TIME FOR CHANGE!
413 was going to get some upgrades,
but ........................
a 440 is NOW IN THE WORKS....STAY TUNED!
APRIL 09: While debating what to do for upgrading the 413, my brother-in-law suggested I call his friend, he thought his friends's father had a 440 short block.
I made the call and found out that, not only did he have a the 440, but it was new!
The 440 was a factory built warranty replacement short block, built in 1978. It was never used, never built, never turned, never painted! It was still coated in cosmoline to prevent rust and still had its Chrysler part tag attached.

The 413 Is Outta There!

8/15/09 UPDATE: After 4 months, the short block was torn down, the crank and rods have been balanced, a new set of Forged Kieth Black Pistons are nestled nicely in the cylinder walls, everthing is held together with new ARP bolts. A nitraded COMP Cams Xtreme Energy Hi-Lift Cam and Lifter Kits is in place, with a billet double roller chain. The heads have been ported, a COMP Cams Pro Magnum Shaft Mount Roller Rocker Arms are waiting to be bolted up.
Going to add an Eddy Performer RPM intake, (anyone have one they want to sell?) and a 750 Holley. Still need a new alternator, water pump, mini starter, clutch assembly, etc

ITS HOME AT LAST!
