Unfortunatly all of my plans have changed pretty much. Most likely going to be a full tube chassis drag car. I want to go serious bracket racing eventually would like to run methanol. I'm shooting for the total weight of the car to be 2500lbs. And the front wheels will leave the ground. Not going to be done for a while. Its going out to sandblasting soon.
Engine:
-1970 340 Iron Block, Bored .040 over
-Eagle forged crankshaft
-Eagle forged rods
-Diamond forged pistons 10.8:1 compresion w/ 65cc heads
-Comp Cams solid lifter cam, .495 gross lift, 282 adv. duration (Buying new Crane cam before I degree it in.)
-Milodon sinlge idler gear drive
-Edelbrock aluminum heads, reworked by Indy Heads, 2.05 oversized intakes
-I'm making a aluminum sheet metal intake manifold, all custom specs
-Sheet metal aluminum timing cover
-I'm tig welding my own aluminum valve covers
-Undecided on carb
-Going to cut my own motor plates front/rear + limiter
Drivetrain:
-Dynamic 727 full roller bearing transmission
-Dynamic 4000-4500 stall converter
-8 3/4 rear end with 3.23 posi gear.
Interior:(has yet to be started on/parts not yet purchased)
-Looking into some fiberglass bucket seats
-aluminum dash + plenty of gauges to monitor everything
-5 point seat belts
-At my work going to build a full tig welded cage, if I get a raise any time soon I'd like full tube chassis
Exhaust:
-Building my own 2" headers with 3 1/2 in collector, possibly ceramic coating
-To make it legal T them off into some mufflers but dump them straight out of the mufflers
