One goal I had this year was to park and take a picture of this 2010 transformer edition yellow Camaro......Then I got to be in a show beside it!
September 6, 2009.....received Best Firebird.

Taken April 2009 I love SPRING!

My 1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula!
I bought this car 24 years ago and it is my dreamcar.
It was faded, no decals, had chipped up ralley II wheels.
At the time, it was in my price range, costing me 3200.00, and it did not smoke. The odometer showed 60k and the car was 6 years old. I was 26. I did then and still do love every inch of this car!
Family car since 1985
My sons are the two with blue shirts....now they are 27 and 21.

The first of these pictures is how another car had parked into my front bumper. 2nd, someone came and told me they scratched my car, it was one of those scratches you can sink youir hand into. 3rd, Blizzard of 1993, I did not have a garage then, it hurt me every time that car got dirty or wet, and 4th is what happened to my grand am, when it was parked where I usually park the firebird.
I got t-boned in this one.
That is my youngest son, he is 21 now. I got a new door from a camaro.
These are from 2 incidents that happened while the firebird was parked. The one on the left mostly buffed out. The one on the right is from getting backed into, did NOT buff out. The passenger fender was brand new, had been replaced after I hydroplaned into a telephone pole in 1988.

This set of four pictures was taken after a previous paint-job in the 90's.
These are some pictures from the late 80's.
Check the red formula decals. A painters idea, I liked it at the time.
My oldest son graduated highschool in 2000. This was one of his senior pictures. He got his masters in 2007 at Marshall University. He was enrolled there when the movie "We Are Marshall," was filmed.
To keep from having to drive the firebird in bad weather, I went from a white 93 Grand am, to a white 95 Chevy Corsica, to a white '94 Honda Accord to a white 99 Mitsubishi Galant.
I hope I never get another idea like "I think I will take the hood off to clean it, just please help me move it into the dining room."

I was fortunate in the fact that the car was going to be repainted. I layed the hood in place, with much help, and drove the 3 blocks to the body shop.
This was my motor, the original, that I drove until it was over 20 years old, the way I used to keep it...I would keep it clean enough so that I wouldn't get my hands dirty checking oil, etc. At the end(of this motor) it not only smoked, it leaked about a pint every couple days, I think the leaking helped keep it oiled underneath and prevented some rust, the blow-by was so bad, that when I stopped at a light , I would be sitting in a cloud of smoke. The cooling system was also shot, so I could drive a few miles, let it cool down for awhile, add water, and head back home.
This is a 301 V-8 Built by Jasper
I try to keep my motor spotless, plus added accell wires and edelbrock valve covers.
Driving, cleaning, working on, or just looking at my firebird makes me happy. The summer of '04, I also enjoyed working at a quarter horse farm.
