Stock(NHRA)project from Sweden going to be race ready spring 2007.Dodge Polara 1964 sold as new 1965 in Sweden, one of 24.Will be a 383/330hp from JL racing Engines,Oklahoma, and with a carter carburator from www.carbguy.com under the hood.Lot of help and advice are coming from www.mopar.se in northern Sweden. Transmission from Mancini Racing,Mi completed with swedish made lightweight drums. Rear axle 8 3/4" with most of parts from Mark Williams and with Calvert Racing's Caltrac system monoleafs.Have done most of the rust work myself in my garage and have been Tig-welded the 5-point chrome-moly cage inside the car,the main loop is bended by a company in sweden.Have been painted the cage and other interior details as dash, steering wheel and some other parts with an Dodge original paint called "Bermuda turquose" metallic paint and 4-5 layers with clear-transparent colour.Thereafter the car has been shipped to a friends body-shop to be painted with an Dodge colour called "Ivory" beige from 1964.A lot of work has been done to the body and lot of rust repaired, one good friend helped with all the led-work after all the rustrepairs at the body.Thereafter I sprayed an epoxy ground paint allover the body. The trunk are sprayed with a trunk-colour and 2 layers with clear-paint. All are done in my garage before taking the car to the paintshop, just not to destroy body paint afterwards! The car will be competing in the Swedish-Finnish in Stock/SuperStock series 2007 (hopefully!) www.sssa.se Hope You could understand my school-english (one small explanation about Stock/superstock in Sweden and Finland is that we have permission from National HotRod Assosiation ( NHRA ) in USA,that to use NHRA rulebook,so we have done that from about 1988 and are doin it with exactly the same rules and updates directly from NHRA, about 40-50 teams excist in Sweden www.sssa.se) Dodge Polara '64 Stocker Did my first go 2008 at a smaller race in middle of sweden, first round 11.89/112mph that means 0.71 under my index in Stock eliminator i/sa (NHRA style) . Qualified as number 5.
