Got the 383 all put back together and back in, (picks soon to come) and I have the top taken off and painted white. My girl and I just got back from a 400mi road trip and the 383 preformed like a dream. I also had 2 1/4 true dual and 40 series flowmasters put on.

It was having some major leaking/power problems so I elected to pull the 383 and rebuild/freshen it. I am reusing the crank and pistons but putting all new bearings in it. Also am adding an edelbrock performer cam, manifold, and valve springs, and to top it all off I am using a holly 650 double pumper and msd box. More picks soon to come.
even after being dipped there was still some rust on the block that had to be taken care of.

Well here it is the green boat. I got my '68 newport from an older couple and it is in very good shape. It has the 383 big block and soon it will have a 3.23 shuregrip.
