I bought my Galaxie about a month ago. Technically I am the 3rd owner but the used car lot only had it about a month due to the original owner having passed away. The obviously didn't know what they had... I bought it for $3800.00!

It runs great. (STRONG) It's powered by a 390 FE Block that is extremely clean and it only has 94,500 original miles on it. It's interior is absolutely perfect... PERFECT! The body is strait as an arrow with every piece of ordinal chrome still in its proper place. It is a dark forest green. It needs minor body work due to some rust along the bottom of the rear quarters on both the front and the back side of each rear wheel. This, and the paint job is 37 years old so I'm having all the body work and paint done this winter. I don't know if I should return it to its original color and look or change it up... (I'm open to suggestions!)

I bought this vehicle for I and my two little boys to start a Father son(s) project together and we're all real exited about it!

Any suggestion about my restoration will be greatly appreciated...

Hey, I am emailing all the 69 Galaxie owners a question. I am doing a frame off restoration on mine. The body is off the frame and I need to know a measurement. I am replacing the entire trunk pan out of mine and need to know the measurement between the ground and the bottom of the trunk pan at the front (closest to the engine) right behind the rear differential. The reason I ask, is because I am replacing the trunk pan with one out of a 89 crown victoria, witch is very similar but a couple of inches deeper at that point. I want to know if I can go deeper and still have enough ground clearance. The differential is approximately 7 inches off the ground and the trailing arms under the rear springs are about 6 inches. If you can get me the measurement I'd greatly appreciate it. Please email me @ littledmac@gmail.com or post a comment to my page. Sweet ride, I like the pics cut out like that. Thanks, Damon
