This is my 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass S that I bought back in 1993 at the ripe old age of 19. It was pretty much a beater (see below). Drove it a little during college, but mainly sat in my parents back yard. From 1998 to about 2001 it underwent an extensive refurbish job. Started bracket racing the car a little in 2002. 2003 until this past summer I have put 75-95 passes on her each summer.

See page two for Technical details.
See page three for Racing. My planned 2007 schedule is on this page. I also plan on updating this page after each trip to the track.
See page four for our new Pace car hauler and additions to the inside.
See page five for a look at a friends Alero.

Runs consistently in the mid 11 second range. Has gone as fast as 11.22 @ 118 mph.

Who does not love a big fat burnout? The early years. Yes, that is the same car.

My first year of racing (2002) I only took the car to the track 4 times, maybe had 20 passes that year. Like a lot of guys, I started out this car build intending to do a street car that I would maybe take to the track occasionally. Well, one time at the track, and I was hooked. I was a bad driver and the car was not really where I wanted it to be. I was running a much more mild 455 than I run now and a Richmond T-10 four speed. Bracket racing a four speed is not easy and elimination round wins were non existent. The car was only running low 13 second passes. My wife even commented how she thought it would go faster (words she regrets to this day). So it was on to plan "B". Now we set out to build a bracket car I could drive on the street occationally. So an 11 second motor was built, the 4 speed came out, and a TH400 went in. The rear end was filled with better parts to take the torquey launches. That is pretty much the way the car still is.

These were taken at Cordova by a buddy in 2004 I believe.

Here is the racing rig. Really like my 03 Duramax.

Burnout photo is in Bowling Green 2006. This is during the Q16 and you can see Kevin Thompson's green 70 in the other lane. A very good 7.0 index racer down south. Anyway, this day was one of my better performances. Very proud of getting by some stiff competition. I was able to deep stage and cut some very good lights on a .400 pro tree.

Another great memory. May of 2003, my first race win. This was at Byron, IL at the Mondello event. These three cars are lined up for finals. All three of us good friends and pitted together. Jeff Smith in his red 65 442, who ended up winning Super Pro (has more of Mondello's money than anyone), Scott Grossenbacher in his brown/bronzish 70 Supreme, who ended up with runner-up in Pro, and me in Street. You can see the blue 66 wagon behind me that I raced.

A great day of racing at Cordova in October of 2006. Before the 2006 season it seemed like I could not win much at Cordova, but things changed. I was proud of this race win because it was full of regular points racers, and there were a lot of them. Got through 7 rounds.
