This is my 99 Mazda Miata 10th Anniversary Edition. I call her Mia (or BlueMia) because I am simply crazy over this little car. I bought it in 2004 after the loss of my beloved 01 Miata to a truck. I bought it from a girl who was starting a family and had to get rid of it. It had been well taken care of and she had already added a racing beat intake, dual exhaust, and yellow hoses under the hood. I drove it once and immediately fell in love. I had to have it! It was small, fast, handled like a go-cart, and as she put it, sleek, cute, and sexy. The only thing wrong was the convertible top was torn but I had a hardtop at my house from a previous Miata that I would get painted to match. Every time I drive it I have fun and I will keep it for as long as I can.
This was one of the cars that had the #4 bearing problem so the engine was replaced at 12,000 miles due to a catastrophic failure. It has a six speed close ratio transmission that makes it a blast to drive and the 1.8 liter engine pulls strongly to the rev-limiter.
My two favorite Miatae of all time and the inspiration for my cars nickname.
