JoeZinn's 1987 Porsche 944

Welcome to my 944 restoration project.  This was the running version (lol) of my 1987 Porsche 944 NA on November 29th, 2006.  It is now October 28, 2008 and the weekend hobby continues. The car is in the final stages of its transformation and I have just started to put together my story.

What motivated me to take on this project?  I had finally had it out with my Porsche mechanic who was charging me thousands for bandaid solutions.  I finally got frustrated and decided I could do a better and more thorogh job myself. Just needed to clear out enough room in the garage and I too could become a Porsche mechanic, right?  Nonetheless, the project was started...  Little did I know the scope creep that was about to consume me...

Hey man, I just purchased a 968 wing but I am a little confused on how I should install it. Do you have any advise that will help my in my install? I just want it to fit up good and look clean.

Cool Ride! like what your doing with it. It might be your engine temp sensor or it still might be your radiator try to flow, purge crud from top of Rad diconnecting from everything else and see if it flows fine. If not, you might have a bad heater core or servo(moving)heater parts. For best solution of problem after tinkering, just take it in to your local Porsche dealer ship for diagnosis. Don't have them fix it (to save money)just get them to tell you what's wrong with it. If it's cheap or easy fix have them do it. Still have to Pay the (175per/hr) service fee aleast that's what it is in NY, But it's well worth the headache in the end.

Nice ride man! The 968 wing is somthing I want to do to my 944 but its so expensive since there is no manufacture in the U.S. Check out my 1988 944. Its a work in progress but is turning out quit nice.
