Well, I love music, so naturally had to have a good system in the car other than that crappy stock one. Check it out!:

I had all my work done by SoundWaves in Parsippany. They do good work, just asren't very friendly about it. First thing I had them do was Dynamat the whole car, yes the whole car. I have no pictures of that, but the difference is incredible. Even with the radio off, the sound deadening is great just for driving especially when you have a loud exhaust like mine.

You'll notice besides the change in head units, my console looks different everytime. I went through a lot of interior changes in the car (painting, shift knobs, 4th gen console) check it all out on page 5 for all that good stuff.

Ok here is a picture of my stock radio. It worked, but had to change it for obvious reasons:

My first aftermarket Stereo was a Sony Sony CDX-M850MP CD/MP3 Receiver. I loved this head unit because it had steath mode (left picture) and then would flip over to reveal controls (right picture). I kept this unit up until a few months ago when the buttons stopped responding and would do random things on me. I would try to raise the volume and it would skip a track..etc. Oh well, here it was:

This brings me to my final head unit which I'm very happy to have bought. It's a Panasonic DVD player CQ-VD7003U. I always wanted a full touch screen capable of playing DVD's or anything for that matter. It also has a much better EQ system and interface altogether than the Sony:

Next would be the speakers. I started with the rear 6x9. They are Pioneer . They sound much better than those stockers and were a breeze to put in myself with Crutchfield harness adapters. Here they are:

Lastly would be my subs. I got a set of Kicker Competition VR's free from a friend. They peak at 1000 Watts and are LOUD. I had soundwaves recommend an amp that would mate up with them well. They recommended a Kenwood 8151D amplifier at 1000 watt peak. I bought my sub box off a guy who was custom making them at the time off Ebay. The box is very good construction and I'm very happy with it. Here is pictures of the whole install(still have the old interior here):

There are some things I plan on very soon. Inever upgraded my 4x6 dash speaker because I felt it useless plus the fact its a very labor instensive job. What I plan on doing is getting a pair of custom fiberglass kick panels from a member on Thirdgen.org and putting some Pioneer 5 1/4" speakers with 1" tweeters in them. Thats will take care of my mids and highs much better than now.

I also want to change my sub box design. I plan on building a cap for the whole trunk with a big cutout of the Phoenix/Firebird. The cutout will be backed with slightly tinted plexiglass and lit up inside with red neons. It will look amazing when I'm done.

Great new site and your car is very clean and nice! How much were your door panels and what company did you get them from?
