Well, I had to paint the front half of the car for a couple of reasons. First off I bought a new WS6 RamAir Hood. Secondly, the front bumper cover was cracking and peeling since my grandfather had gotten into a minor fender bender and had it re-painted and they painted over the existing clear coat! Can you believe it?

Here is the process step by step:

Let me introduce you to Raul Padilla, my own personal painter! Well actually he works for my father and painting is one of his many talents:

I bought the hood from RamAirHood.com. I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.
Here is a pic of the hood in white the way it came:

There was a little damage do the door that needed to be fixed:

Now that all the prep work was done, it was time for paint. First step was to paint the bumper. It had to be mixed seperately because it required more flex and less hardener to be added:

After paint and clear coat, we took off the RamAir hood and put the stock one back on while it was being painted. Here is the bumper all done:

With the front all done, it was time to start painting both fenders:

Next was the door:

Last thing we painted was the hood, clear-coated inside and out:

Finally! Everything re-assembled and finished...well almost. The front license plate bracket broke while taking it off so it took me awhile to replace it. Also the headlight covers were being repainted gloss black so they were on at this point either:

And that was the end of painting.

Great new site and your car is very clean and nice! How much were your door panels and what company did you get them from?
