cosmetics, beautifing the beast

well, ther not much added to the outside of my car except the snappy paint job, headlights, driving lights and custom finished grill. oh yeah, and my rubber ducky!

youll notice i got one of a kind clear headlights, thats because they were so yellow i customed them up myself.

heres my driving lights, i originaly wanted these back when my headlights were dull, but now theyre bright but dont reflect everywherelike they used to, so these do that now!

my rubber ducky! the rock and roll rubber duck! i lost this thing once on the side of the highway because i had a grocer bag on the antenna and it scrapped him right off. but he was found and brought to me again.

heres a project i started when something pretty bad went on. my friends friend decided to jumpon my car hood(yes, my cool hand painted hood) to knock over a plate of bacon at school. i stormed out to look at the damage, none. but when i got back toleave, i saw that the whole hood was one big dent, i poped it anbd it left a few release dents. i took it off and put on a spare, but i did it differently, i put a hood scoop to keep the motor cool.

heres a pic once it came together, i just took a grinder and cut 3 lines and folded it up and back down over a 2x4 and cut a plastic container for the sides, this is not permanent, ill be covering it with bondo and reshaping it.

You should use 10 gauge wire for 30 and 87, 16 gauge is plenty for 85 and 86.

I'd look into why the fan isn't coming on in the first place, it should be an easy fix. I've seen the relay burn out before, it's in the little black box in front of the driver's side strut. It could also be the temp sensor... there are two... the small one for the temp gauge has one wire, it's in the passenger side end of the front cylinder head. The one you should be looking at has two wires. It's by the thermostat housing. The engine computer uses this one to adjust fuel mixture, and activate the cooling fan. You'll need to unbolt the coil pack to get at it, but you can see it without taking anything off.

Hey, if you haven't gotten information on how to wire in a relay here: Go ahead and get a 30A automotive relay from a electrical store or your local auto parts store. Pin 30 would be going to the + source Pin 85 should be going to the switch Pin 87 should be going to the fan Pin 86 should be going to ground - Try to use 12-14 gauge wiring for all this. Tell me how it works out. This should work for your radiator fan.
