this page is here as a memorial of the greatest car ive ever had and the greatest car that ever roamed this city. i turned away when i saw the forklift jab into the front of my car and lift it and dropit. the dynasty was layed to rest in a scrap yard on march 23/2007.
the reason for its early demise is i was getting a fully loaded gorgeous new yorker, which i later found out needed a motor. every day i regret getting rid of this car

the well known dynasty of sudbury!
this car goes down as a legend
i got this car roughly 2 years ago. whe i got it, it was all one color, severely rotted and barely ran. it was black cherry 1992 chrysler dynasty le. fully loaded with power windows, power locks, power heated seats, power heated mirrors, heated steering wheel, a/c, cd, roof console with map lights, floor console, back seat reading lights, uv suto-sensing rear view mirror, amplified deluxe sound system and every other feature chrylser had the only thing it didnt have was the sunroof. un fortunatly, it had no exhaust system at all, shot back shocks, real bad balljoints, the front windows didnt roll down, the rad fans didnt work which was killer in the summer, and bad battery connections which i thought was starter problems. there was severe rotting under most doors, around the gas filler and a hole clean through the trunk.
before summer of '05, roughly march, i got a co op placement at school at a garage wich got me lots of opportunity to get my car up to par. i got a exhaust system put in, i HAD to get shocks, since they blew on my way to school. and i later figured that changing my batter connectors was the problem of my car stalling and not starting. my friend, who aslo had a placement at the same garage helped me newfie rig my rad fans to a toggle switch so i wouldnt have to blast the heat in the summer. then i later figured how to get my windows down, pull out the chunk of wood propping the window up!
these pics you can see the orange cord for the fans and my "hick" way of putting the window up and down
around may, there was a new yorker at the garage . it sat for weeks before i got the go to strip it. i got new doors, a hood and all kinds of crap i didnt need like inner door panels, hubcaps, das, stereo, anything that could come off did. i needed a left fender but it was a severely hard to get off because of bolt that are tucked under the nose panel. i needed a fender because in march i slid sideways into a pole in the school parkinglot and dented it bad along with the rim and oblitterated my original hubcap. the new doors had working windows, so immediately i grabbed them, my friend justin helped me out once again, big time.
i began doing bodywork to the doors, there was a few rust spots. i also started changing the spark plugs because i was getting misfires left right and center. easiest way to get to plugs 2,4, and 6 was to pop off the hood
near the end of the school year, my friend colt said he had extra parts from his grandmothers dynasty. i got a new grill, from the pre 90s dynasty, the dodge grill. i got a taillight, headlights, and a rad fan. unfortunatly, on installation of the headlight, i broke some of the holding pins...
i didnt use the taillights since there was a small chip, mine were still good, plus i later rechromed the lines across them
out of boredom, i began waxing my car, which actually shined real good. i usually give my car the good cleaning inside every week, its a few hours, roughly 5. i scrub the carpeting, vacuum, wipedown, dry and armor all, here what she looked like after 9 hours of cleaning
by this time, summer hit and i started doing bodywork. i removed my old fender, a 3 hour battle. i got the doors off too, man those were some windy rides. i got a medium sized can of bondo, fibre glass kit and a few other small supplies and went outside to git r done
at this point, i started doing bodywork all over my car, filling in dents and getting rid of small rust patches. parts that im getting rid of got grafittied by me. the trunk was real bad, my womans side front door got dented by my friend and the fender had to go back on, i was going a real long time without it and i had no clue when id be getting another
and here i started to got a little overboard with the primer, i now regret it, nothing to shine up
around the time when these next pics were taken, i got my dream come true, a dixie land hiorn for my car. for those few who dont know what that is, i got 4 words, the dukes of hazzard. 3 days later, my transmission blew. that made me mad, mid summer and i wanted to go out cruising, my car was fixed up so it would be comfortable to drive and fun. and now i couldnt, it just sat in my neighbours yard until the end of august.
around mid august, i got a new tranny!
the next day i got the go to strip another car for parts, and did i ever, my friend scott neded parts too.
heres a link to the stripping it was a good week
the car stripping
near the end of the month, good things happened. my good friend jessy talked her step dad into helping get the tranny changed, he got it all done in 6 hours, that was impressive, and it was a great job done aswell. the transmission itself has a computer glitch, it doesnt always turn on in cold weather, but if i shut it off and restart, everything is good. i installed my new parts and cleaned it up. school soon started and my car had no insurance, so i had to use my dads truck and it was real hard on everyone, and halfway through september, i came home and my mom said insurance goes on as of midnight, i was real happy, i cleaned it out again for its new debut at my school, the car was already a legend as it is. but it being ressurected and better than ever really made me happy and surprised people.
later on that month i got bored and did some painting
around october, i met the owner of the garage i was roking at and he said he got another dynasty if i wanted some parts off it. he told me it had tons of new parts and a blown motor, well, timing belt. i later decided i would take it withough looking. i got some tow ropes and went at lunch durring school to pick it up. it looked good and in decent shape, but older. i bring it to school and then home, halfway to school the tow rope broke, my buddy was in it and turned off on a side street, i pulled over to turn around. then i saw a police car follow him, so i quickly went back. we didnt get any tickets or fines, but i got a barely legible towing bill. i got home and checked out the car, it was mint
its a 1988, but looks great. i gave it a good cleaning.
i also got a blue 88 dynasty, the guy im getting it from still hasnt got it out of his yard, but im taking the motor from that and putting it in the grey 88
around novemeber, i brought the 88 to my friends house and we pulled whats left of the motor, heres a copy-paste of the story i posted on another site
a few days ago me and my friend colt brought my 88 dynasty to his granmothers to start a motor transplant on it. im taking the motor out of another 1988 blue fake convertable dynasty im picking up and putting it in my grey 88. we got the motor out in less than 5 hours, barely a hitch or anything bad happened, just a lot of laughing. the only problem we had was removing the axles. the motor was unbolted in no time, we lifted it up with a engine jack but the oil dipstick jammed in the rad, the new rad. then when we were lifting it more, the whole motor mount jammed into it, i held the motor back while colt jacked it up, but the car was too high and the jack was maxed out, the car had to be lowered. we got the car lowered enough to get the motor out, but when we pulled the engine jack back one leg stayed caught under the car and the whole jack and motor fell toward colt, it sent me flying and into a wall, 800 pound+llots of leverage and me in the way= me flying. the motr fell and landed on colts foot. we both were fine, we stepped back and looked at it and laughed, later i ooked at myhand and saw it was crushed and banged up bad, it got caught in between the car and the motor when it fell. theres a nice little scrap on the front bumper now.later when we picked the motor back up we brought it outside in the driveway, but teh small wheels of the jack hooked into the ground and came to a dead stop, but the motor kept going, and i was in front of it.... the ultimate sacking, 800 lbs, i was ok after a while. last friday i took a trip to capreol and brought in the old motor for scrap. hopefully soon the guy who owns the blue dynasty will get it ready for tow so i can get my grey dynasty out of my friends grandmothers back yard and get it running and sell it.
just before christmas holidays, thursday, my car was just about to turn over to 200,000 kms. i got pics and a vid, thats a quite a turning point for my beast
here she is at 199,999
heres it turning
my car turning over
and the big 200,000!
at christmas, i got a lot of gift cards, so they went towards crap for my car, like neon lights! i had 2 blue license plate frames under my front seats for a long time. i added 2 urban glo double 6 neon tubes along the side of the back seat, a set of 2 under each side of the dash and a set on the side of the dash aswell as elwire trim around teh chrome trim in teh dash. i dont got pics of that or the neons on the side of the dash, but ill get some soon. i also got the "blazer" driving lights from canadian tire and put them on the bumper
ill get some pics at night when i feel like it, the el wire trim looks sick, worth every penny
ill be updating this regularly with more stuff i add on.when i get a good blast of money im sending it out for bodywork, just the main stuff like hold and severe rust, i can take car of dents.
a little off topic...
i love my car so much i made a 3d replica of it for grand theft auto: vice city. i took up 3d modeling as a way to releive anger, since i got angaer management problems, but who doesnt?
for those interested, here some more of my 3d work, i did most of this at nights when my tranny blew. in depth pics of project virtual dynasty is in there
