My van, a 1994 Pontiac Trans Sport Van has a long history and story. First I'll tell the story, then give you the specs on it. I acquired the Beauch Van in June of 2006 from my friend and mentor Rich Bruce. Rich was kind enough to give me his van in exchange for some help around his house. At the time, some of my comrades and I were looking for a vehicle to take on a road trip to Florida. This was the vehicle, and we were sure of it. Rich had been the second owner of the van, and had owned it for 10 years before he gave it to me. When he got it, it had about 50,000 miles on it, a relatively new van. 10 years later, when he gave it to me, it had about 159,000 miles on it. So me and my friends of the CORE (Adam, Jesse, Kevin, and ally of the CORE Spyke) went to Florida in this van, not knowing the reliability to expect. We only did a few things before leaving for Florida, which included an oil and air filter change, and new rear shocks. We were rolling the dice, but our good 'ol GM product came through for us. We spent 2 weeks in Florida, and never once had a problem with the van. We put 4,000 miles on the Beauch Van in 2 weeks, an impressive number for a veteran van. Since returning from Florida, I have been driving the van as my daily driver, and now my bro drives it because he needed a winter beater. (His other car is a 1986 Olds Cutlass with a 455) About a month ago, then van overheated one day as I was going to school. Jesse my bro, discovered that all the coolant had leaked out through a bad hose that connected to the intake and ran to the waterpump. He replaced it, and the van has been running beautifully ever since. It just rolled over 165,000 miles, and to date, has never had any engine or transmission promblems or repairs. The Series I 3800 V6 is one of GM's golden motors, known for its workhorse reliability and dependibility. The tranny shifts fine, too, which I find amazing. My 3800 V6 cranks out about 170 hp, and a little over 210 ft/lbs of torque. I got leather seats, a CD player and 2 12 inch jenson subs in the back. ha-anyway, the Trans Sport is a great vehicle and i love mine a lot. she's also a good offroading machine, i have survived many a hair-pin turns in that thing. VIVA LA CORE!!!!
