Update.
On Wed Oct 27, 04 I became the owner of a '57 210 Delray 2-door Sedan.
This car has seen better days. I believe it's sat in or near mud for many years and from what I can tell was only on the road one year during the time the previous owner owned this car, 1977. I found the registration in the glove box that matches the 1970s OH plates still on the car.
The previous owner told me it was his first car at age 16 in 1975.
It was an original V8 auto tranny car from the factory. When I got it, it has no engine but it still has a Muncie 4-speed w/shifter in it.
Built in Norwood, OH on a one-piece frame it appears to have been built sometime in June, '57 as the VIN starts with 135,000.
We spent hours today (10/30/04) cleaning out all the walnut shells under the back seat some critter left behind. What a mess. It filled a large box and trash bag, too.
No real plans to build the car just yet. Just store it inside although a nice Big Block with O/D tranny sounds cool.
I hope to have pics of the car up in a couple of says.
And I got this car for $300.
Here are a few pics of the car still setting at the body shop.

Here's more pics of my new "Toy."

Anyone got one of these? (a wasp's nest)
The woman who told me she lost her virginity in a car like mine, this must be the bed pillow she laid her head on while this happened?

This is how much junk we cleaned out of the back of this car.
This is behind the pass front seat.

We just got inside the trunk and found this. A prestine OH plate from the 1970s.
We finally got it into the garage (11-04). Out of site, out of mind.
01/02/05, I purchased an engine/tranny from a '79 Camaro a guy was parting out. The seller said he thought it was a '69 350 but Mortec says the engine is a '74-75 350. But it has a factory aluminum intake and Q-jet carb. Now to get it cleaned up & installed.
