Truly unique, one of a kind El Camino SS, previously restored by Dale Earnhardts Chevrolet dealership in Newton, North Carolina.

This unique, uncloned Super Sport has a clean Texas title, Inspection sticker good until May 2007, no accident history, no water damage, clean undercarriage, low miles and is completely rust free.

No-where will you find an example of this historic automobile that looks as amazing as this one. Check the pictures and you will see the paint job is a one of a kind sunset red with candy yellow upper and sets the look off amazingly. The front clip is taken from a Chevy Camaro, round the back youll notice the hard shell lined bed is complimented with a Lauren, body colored Tonneau cover. Let your eyes drift down the rust-free tailgate and youll notice the rear light clusters looking awesome, which are borrowed from the Corvette.

Pop the hood and cast your eyes over the motor. Youll immediately see the Dale Earnhardt air cleaner assembly sitting atop an Edelbrock 650 Carb. The 350 GM 4 bolt main V8 with a 9:1 compression and sports mild competition cams. The candy yellow coachwork spills over the side of the fenders and continues into the engine bay, which continues the overall good looks of this fine car.

Follow the 2- inch true, dual exhaust from the competition headers to the flow-master mufflers at the rear of the underside. Look around underneath and youll notice the original 308 stock 10-bolt rear end with a rear sway bar.

From the ground up, the exterior look is set off by the 14 Weld aluminum racing rims with Goodyear Eagle M/S Tires with very good tread. On the outside the SS decals Are brand new, but the crowning glory are the Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet badges on the b pillars.

Open the door and climb inside. The interior is as feature rich as the exterior with SS dash emblems, Dale Earnhardt signature badge on the dash, original SS steering wheel and the bucket seat youre sitting in. The darkened tinted windows add to the ambiance inside the cabin. Also fitted is a brand new Pioneer CD, MP3 player with a remote control and removable face Plate.

With the first turn of the key, the engine roars to life with an AWESOME sound. With a touch of the accelerator, youll notice there is no hesitation and the carb feeds the big V8 with gas and instantaneously springs to life. Buckle up and slip the tight 350 Transmission into drive, release the brake and put your foot down and youll be propelled quickly into drivers heaven.

This is your chance to get your hands on a piece of history. This car is the unique, something different that you have been looking for.

Remember, this is a 28-year-old car and although Dale Earnhardts Chevrolet Dealership in Newton, North Carolina, has previously restored it it does have a few flaws, which are minor and with a small amount of time and money, these can be easily rectified.

The Air Con compressor is missing, although the canister is there. It will need replacing to have the a/c back in full running order. As with many El Caminos, the common problem with the dash cracking in the heat that blares through the windshield, two small cracks have appeared in the top of the dash. There is no spare tire or jack with the car, but these can be easily procured for little investment from a junkyard.

The front spoiler is missing, although this is not a massively important fact, as it doesnt detract from the cars overall look, itll just enhance it to be complete. There is a small crease in the hood, which is very minor, and unless a full overhaul was done, we didnt deem it important enough to fix it. This is a daily driver, and as you would expect, there are a few small chips on the front end and the drivers seat is showing some signs of wear and has a slight tear in the side.

The rear curtain and sun visors are missing, but can again be procured in the same trip to the junkyard or here on e bay to complete this fantastic car. Also a new lock is required for the Tonneau cover, as the key didnt get passed on from the previous owner.

Overall, this car is a 99% complete vehicle that runs 110% and needs only very minor cosmetic enhancements which are very simple jobs that can be completed one day on a weekend.

Dont miss this chance to own such a car as this, its a fine example of a very rare classic and a model like this should go to a new owner who is going to love and cherish it, as have the previous owners.

OK... hope no one got hurt on this comments BUT..

First off .. the front end was designed by Terry Rutherford at Choo CHoo Customs Inc for GM.. in 1982-83 to go on the New 1984 SS Elcamino ...so this front end was not the original front end .. its a copy of the original Front End... I just Talked to Mr. Rutherford and CHoo was the ONLY OEM company Lisenced to build the 1984-thru 1987 SS elcamino .. they were built in CHattanooga, TN ..there car came with 305 cuin. motors, I owned a 1984 choo choo SS Elcamino My self.. Examples:http://www.cardomain.com/ride/457563
http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/your_garage/cars/742.shtml

Chevy had Two Pace cars built with an all alluminum 350cuin ..One an Indy pace car and One an IROC pace car..both will be up for auction soon.. (i think there in IL.??) This car may have been rebuilt by DE chevy.. but they didnt make the front end OR SS emblems for that year car. The front end will fit .. check with Honest Charles in Chatt, TN they sell a fiberglass copy..
http://store.honestcharley.com/home.php?cat=504
The Original front end was Polyurathane ..and had to have a suppot piece to keep the top of the nose from sagging..

Im not saying there is any thing wrong with this car.. but there were NO signature DALE E. trucks till GMS SS Silverado in 2006 http://www.daleearnhardtinc.com/content/news/default.aspx?StoryID=1215
