I am currently building a daily driven integra. Right now it has just the basic bolt-ons including: AEM cold air, pace setter header, 2.5" exhaust with no cat or resonator, Denzo irridium plugs with larger wires, stage 4 clutch with exedy fly wheel in a YS1 tranny, and a b&m short shifter. I have taken the car to the Denton Drag Way (1/8 mile) in Texas off of I-35 and it was amazing to see how much the clutch and fly wheel helped. On the first run I launched at 3k rpm and it burned out all of first gear, and with the excitement I hit second and continued to sit there. The tires I have are new but are hard and designed for long life and not performance. So with the new tranny parts it was almost impossible to launch at all. It took a few passes until I got in a decent run. I finally learned to launch at 2k but when the clutch engaged, the engine immediately reved to 4.5k and I had to let off the gas to let the tires grip, but they then break loose again at 6k. So I basically ran with virtually no first gear and a horrible 60ft time. Once I get traction, second and third are great and my best time was 10.44. This is not too bad considering a 96 gsr ran a 10.7 and a crx with a zc swap ran 10.20 to 10.4. If i can get first to grip I'd hope for a 10 flat.
As you can see I have sanded the car down to prep for paint. I have chosen to go with black again, but this time it will not be metalic like the factory paint was.
Romved factory wing and shaved emblems.
Repaired dent in fender. Smooth as glass.
