This is my 1991 BMW 318is that I've owned for little over a year. I bought it from as a Total Loss Vehicle from SGI, and I then had to weld on a new rear quarter panel and new rear panel. I continued to install the M-Tech bodykit and two piece spoiler imported straight from Germany It's powered by the factory DOHC 1.8L four cylinder with some suptle modifications. Like many DOHC four cylinders, it isn't a torque monster, it's a pretty peppy car from the factory and it loves to be reved all the way to it's 7000 redline. Right now it has a short ram-air style cold air intake, a Dinan performance chip, M-Technic equal-length headers, 2.25 exhaust from headers back, with a baffled resonator in place ofthe factory cat, a DynoMax muffler, a 4.45 LSD differential, UUC Motorwerkes Short Shifter, B&G Lowering springs, m-technic sway-bars, M-Technic steering wheel, grey on black Recaro sport interior, Bilisten Sport dampers, 16 inch BBS RK rims wrapped in 205/45R-16 tyres, and Brembo vented rotors paired with Girling calipers.
Me racing with the QCMA
Oh yea, its Rear-Wheel Drive!
With all these modifications it MIGHT be rocking 150-160 horsepower, and 130-140 LB FT/TQ.
It is now freshly repainted in the factory Alpine White.
See it on the road in Regina, Saskatchewan
