About 5 years ago, I lost the tranny again, so I parked the car again, and I slowly began to redo the car. I pulled the engine and tranny and started by cleaning, refinishing and detailing the engine bay. I have started to strip down th car for a new custom paint job, and I have added a new set of factory original Ford SVT Cobra 17" wheels, and and Continental 235/50/17 tires. I cut, polished and re-clear coated the beads of the rims, and had a local sign shop print Buick logos on chrome film to cover the SVT on the centers.

The wheels fit perfectly, and once I re-install the motor and transmission and lower the car, they are going to look even better.

This time around I am going to remove the stock wheel opening mouldings, Refinsh the front and rear bumpers in body color, remove or refinish all lower stainless trim. Shaving the hood ornament and door handles. I am going to lower the car by about 1 1/2" and add a larger rear sway bar and front strut tower brace. I am also going to add a custom ram air intake system. I will add all pictures as I go...

If anyone is looking for parts for an 86 LeSabre, drop me a line and I can see If I can help. I have scrapped 4 other LeSabres to date.

I'm very impressed with what you have done! Moving the fuel door is a great idea, it turned out better than I thought it would. I think you should put the T-Type front spoiler on, after all, you do have the rear spoiler on. I see you're going to put the V-8 into it, good choice. I didn't see what color you are going to paint your ride? Keep up with the pics. Excellent job!
