BuickNEWF's 1986 Buick LeSabre

UPDATED!!! July 10, 2009

I have not had much time to finish the car lately, however, I have mad some more purchases towards its completion.

I have decided to go with a new set of Hankook performance tires 245/45/17's.  A new Flowmaster exhaust, for the NorthStar V8, with dual tips exiting trough moulded openings in the rear cover.  I am looking into a few performance upgrades for the NorthStar.  The front bumper assembly is going to receive another overhaul, with the addition of the T-Type lower front spoiler.

As well, I am in the process of building two rotisaries to put both the Cadillac and the LaSabre on at the same time to make it easier to swap all of the suspension and drivetrain from the Cadillac into the LeSabre.  I am also planning to use the complete wiring, electronics and dash assembly from the Cadillac for the LeSabre.  I will also be upgrading the Buick with the T-Type 40/40 front seats and Center console and shifter.  The entire interior is to be custom upholstered in gray twead and suede.  I am removing the aftermarket sun roof to complete the smooth appearance of the car.  I have a new headliner that will be done in gray suede as well.

I am hoping to be able to spend more time on the car this year with hopes of putting it back on the street next summer.

Stay tuned for more updates in the near future...

**  New Page 11...  Parts Cars.  **

I have made a couple of new aquasitions in the past year.  Firstly, I purchased a 1987 LeSabre T-Type as a donor vehicle.  This car runs but is in to much disrepair to put on the road.  Has a great deal of parts I am looking for to complete my overhaul and mods on my LeSabre.  Secondly, I have just purchased a 1997 Cadillac DeVille, and I am planning to pull the Northstar 4.6L V8 and install it in my LeSabre.  The Northstar has 275 HP and 300 LbFt Torque at 5600 RPM, a hugh increase form the current 150 HP in my stock 3.8L V6.

A Very Special SHOUT OUT!!! To all the members of the LeSabre T-Type website. Check it out here:

My Ride is a 1986 Buick LeSabre Limited Coupe. The car is fully loaded, with power everything, digital dash and temp control, Grand National steering wheel. A friend of mine specially ordered the car new. I purchased the car 15 years ago, and I have been puting my mark on it ever since.

I'm very impressed with what you have done! Moving the fuel door is a great idea, it turned out better than I thought it would. I think you should put the T-Type front spoiler on, after all, you do have the rear spoiler on. I see you're going to put the V-8 into it, good choice. I didn't see what color you are going to paint your ride? Keep up with the pics. Excellent job!
