This is my (former) 1978 Porsche 924. This car was a blast to drive even though it had only a four cylinder motor. The first week I had it, I washed and waxed and polished it on Saturday morning. On that same Saturday night my girlfriend and I went out the the Wind an Sea restaurant in Dana Point, California. I was parked in their parking lot for no more than 2 hours. When I came out; someone had gouged a scratch into my hood approximately 3/8" wide and 7 inches long. The scratch was all the way into the primer coat. I was devastated. I spent weeks trying to build up that scratch with touch-up paint. I must have put 15 coats of touch-up paint unto that gouge. But, it was never the same. There were other problems with that car and I sold it in less than a year.
