This is my 97 Sidekick 4 door 5 speed. It has gone through a few phases during the time I've owned it, each time getting a little better than before.
I love how the interior is so simple, but still completely comfy. I have since removed all the carpeting so that water doesn't stay in the floor after deep water crossings.
The engine as it was when I bought it. So far, not much has been touched on it. I put on a new timing belt and water pump right away because it was overdue. Also, I have added a new cap and rotor, Powermax spark plug wires, NGK Platinum plugs, a Bosch O2 sensor, and a 2" cat-back exhaust with a Cherry Bomb glasspack muffler. I might add a snorkel one day. I have had it up to the top of the headlights in water and I had dried up muddy water inside my air intake after. Yikes!
I bought this about a month after getting the Zuk: 1.5" coil spring spacers, 1991 Crown Victoria shocks. I also flipped the front strut mount and put on 235/75R15 tires.
