In late April 2007 I added body color GT rocker mouldings and dual Magnaflow exhaust to help enhance the looks and performance of the vehicle. Originally I was going to paint the v6 rocker moulding but when I realize it would take considerable work to get them paint ready, I found it would be just easy to buy a set of used rocker mouldings off the many Mustang take-off websites. I got mine off E-Bay for a pretty good discount and I think they help enhance the look of the car while retaining the factory like look that I'm striving for. I may go for some different style of rocker mouldings in the future, but I really like these and I see these staying for now.

The exhaust is Magnaflow's dual-look (part #16605) exhaust set up. It's the most basic of an exhaust set up. It came with a y-pipe and while it's not the best set up for performance it's not too shabby for what it offers. I definitely feel an increase in horsepower, acceleration and the increase in fuel economy has been great as well going from 25 mph on pure interstate/highway traveling to 29 mpg (peaked at 31.3 mpg) on pure interstate/highway travel. The sound note is pretty mild (with a slight rumble) under normal driving and can get quite throaty under hard acceleration which is perfect. The last thing I want is to become a cop magnet in my part of town so when I want the exhaust to make itself known it's there when I need it. I may go back to the exhaust shop in the future and have them fab up a custom H or X pipe as well as putting on larger tips as the 3" tips don't fill up the exhaust cutouts like I want. Also let me add that one should never try to cheap out when it comes to the installation of an exhaust kit or you might end up with results like I had. Fortunately for me, the next exhaust shop I took my car to was able to salvage the kit and reinstall the exhaust having it sit much closer to the exhaust cutouts than it did previously.
