I bought this car march 6th 2006 and it Immediatly gave me problems. Apparently the previous owner has no respect for cars. Sunroof wouldn't close, Mirrors wouldn't move, Engine would misfire, and so much more. I dont know much about electronics but I know a lot about engines. So I started right away with the engine. I replaced the spark plugs, cleaned out the whole fuel system, replaced the filters, and gave it an oil change. Then it was off to Brownell Saab to fix everything else eletrically. Most of the problems were common problems and fixed within an hour due to recalls so most was done free and I was a very happy boy lol. The car had 69,000 miles on it, now it has 74,000 and its running like it has 74. Very reliable in bad weather and the handling on this car is unbelievable not too mention this thing hauls ass for a stock car. Exterior: 9-3Boostin's 2003 Saab 9-3

Now that the car is running perfect and ready for tune, its time to tune. But first I want to show it off a bit so I'm buying a new chrome grill 9-3Boostin's 2003 Saab 9-3, and a little lip spoiler that comes stock with AEROs

. This car came with Bi-Xenons and 17" Aero rims. Both are beautiful, and Ill only be getting new tires but def. keeping the rims and lights. 9-3Boostin's 2003 Saab 9-3

. Also very soon Ill shall be installing H&R lowering springs (45mm) and it should really make this car sweet. When This is all done then performance will be added and in order of appearence is what I'm doing to my car. First I'm buying a Simons Full Exhaust system but before I do that I need to cutout the bumper so the lip of this system can poke out. Fortunately for me people have done this and have come out with a kit to do this so Ill install the bumper cutout because its fairly easy and Brownell Saab will Install the exhaust system for $130(2 hours of labor at $65 an hour rate). Here's pics of the exhaust system and Bumper Cutout. 9-3Boostin's 2003 Saab 9-39-3Boostin's 2003 Saab 9-3. When that's done Ill buy and Install myself a Simota Cold Air Intake. Its fairly easy to do if you know how to clamp, screw, and know your way around the engine. 9-3Boostin's 2003 Saab 9-3. So thats all the Basic upgrades and with all the my car should have about 225 hp 240 lb/ft of torque. Then its time to tune this car seriously and make it really fly. First, Ill work on some custom piping for my car and take out the stock piping. When that is done Ill shall be buying a Nordic ECU. 9-3Boostin's 2003 Saab 9-3. What this ecu does is keeps the PSI at a constant level and takes out all governing limitations. Also it tunes ratios and increases power from the Engine. All in all when this is done, I should have around 280 hp and 310 lb/ft of torque. Then it will be time to get a larger turbo (maybe a T3) and bov. Hopefully Ill have all this done by the summer time but i doubt it. After everything power increases should be from 210 hp ----> 300 hp and 221 lb/ft of torque -----> 350 lb/ft of torque. I have big plans for this car and I know this car should easily last 150K because all Saab's do. I love this car more then anything and Im always gonna work on it until its impossible to run anymore. Then Ill buy a new one and do it all over again. 9-3Boostin's 2003 Saab 9-3

I just have a quick question.....How do you have 225hp stock? My car was bone stock when i had it on the dyno and it put out 155hp even though its rated at 175hp, but thats the difference between engine hp and wheel hp.....Oh yeah and my car also ran mid-high 15's in the 1/4 mile and that was with my Intake so idk if your bragging about something that isn't there or if i'm just missing something...

Hey i noticed you have the factory 17s. I also have those on my car. I have noticed a extreme amount of tire hum from 35-40 mph. The tires are not the original perrelli's. Now I'm just assuming its tire noise. Did you ever have this problem or do you think it could be something else?
