The engine is back in, and sitting pretty.
And now it's home. Dad took it out for a test drive, of course. I drove it a good while before, and it was great! The synchros in the transmission are a little shot, but we'll worry about those later. I'll be looking into it tomorrow. A piece of key is stuck in the key cylinder now too, just need to pull it off and take it to a locksmith. It's also leaking oil from the rear main seal, so we'll get around to replacing that too.
Fuel pump decided to die yesterday as well. Add that to the list.
Fuel pump has been replaced and drove it around for the second half of the day. Front passenger side wheel bearing sounds like it is starting to go. Rear main seal is leaking, so I added some leak stop additive to the oil. If that doesn't stop it, I'll take it to the guy that rebuilt the engine so he can do some warranty replacement for the seal. Other than that, the brakes work well (enough to stop the car anyways), transmission synchros are shot, so might end up rebuilding the transmission sometime down the line, along with rebuilding the clutch master cylinder. Just some small tweaks here and there, and it should be ready to start making it look pretty.
Rinsed it off since I was bored. Even though it doesn't look like much, I still love this car and it is fun to drive.
