1975 MGB. 50 Year Anniversary Edition.

Discovered that the engine has been rebuilt before. Previous owner heated the front springs and put blocks under the rear axle so the car has been lowered... Very cheaply.

Done:
Engine Rebuild ($875)
Front Springs
Rear U-Bolts and shackels
Engine is back in
Headers, intake, and carburetor are installed
Clutch kit is installed
Starter is back in (after being made pretty)
Water pump installed
Alternator is back on
Fan and radiator fully installed
Engine, tuning, and transmission

Whats left to do:
Brakes
Making it look pretty

After that, interior redo and exterior repaint, but thats too far to think about.

In desperate need of rebuild and new carburetor.

Engine still at machine shop. (2/20/07) :(
(Took some headbolts down to the machine shop yesterday, and I'll be able to pick it up today. 3/7/07)

(3/8/07)
Finally got the engine back today. Just need to get a new water pump, all new hoses, a Hayne's Manual, clutch, and Weber Carburetor. All those should be ordered during this spring break so I should have everything by the time we're back in school so it should just be putting everything back together.

Clutch Kit and carburetor have been ordered. Next to order are hoses, engine mounts, and need to get serial number off the engine to figure out which water pump we need.

I had to replace the stock jets with bigger ones on my weber DGV. It was easy to do and cheap and made all the difference in the world after I rebuilt my motor. So just letting you know that you always have that option. I love my weber. Good choice.

Looking good! I love seeing these cars being restored instead of junked. You just don't see enough of them on the road anymore. It will be worth every penny once your done, trust me. Keep up the good work!
