Hey everybody.

Well I've been working on this car for about 2 years now, complete restoration, she's been a struggle. I've bought 4 parts cars for this thing, so 5 cars to make one nice one.

Before I continue, some background. I am currently 18 years old, I started this project when I was 16, so I was young, broke, but had a fair amount of experience, so parts cars were the best way to go. I bought the car I'm restoring for $500. Here's a pic of her the day I got 'er:

Bought a parts car the next day, an 89 LX notch that was in a roll-over, for the rad support. About a month later, I found a 92 GT in front of a school as a display for an accident "Students against drinking and driving" Then... my project truely began. That 92 GT had the Motor, Tranny, Wiring and many other misc parts I needed. So that's where my drive-train came from. Paid $600 for it, motor was rebuilt in 2002 (pulled off the main caps on the crank) so I didn't rebuild it, Tranny was re-built in 2001, so I didn't re-build that either.

Bought a 92 LX hatch for the interior, and another 92 LX hatch for some more interior, together about $1100 for the pair, one of them was driveable.

So up to here, I have roughly $2200 into the car. Frame-straighteneing and front end repair, $800, so $3000.

Ripped everything off the chassis, sand-blasted/glass beaded EVERYTHING, lots of work there.

Essentially, what I did, was I turned that 87 into a 92, quite litterally, all metal brackets were cut out and welded in the 87, so, rear shoulder strap belts were put in the 87, since 92 was MAF, it is now a MAF car, newer dash, Air bags were put in/sensors blah blah blah, it was a LOT of work and a lot of frusteration getting everything to work, but I did. Also changed out the porno red interior for a nice black one.

Everything else... mostly mods

Mods/Changes include:
3.55 gears w/ posi (out of a Ranger)
6 tooth speedo drive gear w/ 17 tooth driven gear
Pro 5.0 Short Throw Shifter
70MM Holley Throttle Body
70MM BBK EGR Spacer
Mac Fenderwell Cold air kit
C&L 73MM MAF
B303 Cam
Smog Deleted
Charcoal Canister Deleted
5-Bolt Conversion
Lincoln Mark VII Calipers up front
98 GT Convertible Front Seats

Among some others that I just can't think of, so many changes have been made in this long process.

NOW for the real deal, this is roughly what it looked like when I sent it to the body shop:

Here's a snap of my engine when it was actually clean... before the body shop, but before I had everything finished so it's kind of a mess.

Now this is what she looks like right now... except I have the sunroof in it now... as my cat jumped through it right after I took this pictures (fabric wasn't cut out, now it is.)
