This page shows the fabrication stages of the speaker enclosures that I designed & installed in the trunk for gaming and watching videos. Sony PS2 and a 15.4" monitor, the speakers are 5 3/4" Rockford Fosgate. The pictures with the amps in the trunk are of the old install. I have changed it around recently by moving the amps & capacitor to the back seat area & replaced them with a 23" monitor & a Wii game console. Pictures of the new setup are on page 7.

The frames were made with 1/4" plywood & 3/8" MDF, glued & screwed. Then test fitted in their locations in the trunk, perfect fit...

In the next step the fleece is stretched ofer the frames and then a couple coats of resin applied. When that was dry I added 2 layers of fiberglass to the inside to make them solid.

Here you see the enclosures after the red vinyl was stretched over them and glued. Another test fit, still lookin good!!

The pictures above are of the early trunk set up and has been changed to what you see in the shots below where I have added a wii game console along with a 23" monitor and relocated the Optima Yellow Top under the trunk floor.

Guitar Hero at car shows makes the time go by much faster and can draw quite a crowd. Check out the paint job on the guitar.
