How's this for a big brake kit?
I hooked up with the owner of Autogear at a car show I was showing at a couple of years ago and I decided to let him take my Venge and do a big brake upgrade. When I saw what he did I could not believe what I seeing. This "one off" custom brake set up is KRAZY. 15" 4 piece rotors & 6 piston calipers in the front and check this, 14" 4 piece rotors & 4 piston calipers in the rear, I don't think you can even get a kit for the rear of this car. This is way more stopping power that I will ever need but it sure is a show stopper.

Here are a couple of shots of the 15" custom made 4 piece front rotors that are part of the "Big Brake Kit" that AUTOGEAR fabricated for my Venge. Check out the anodizing & machine work on the hats! The wheel spacers necessary for clearance are machined into the hats. The rear rotors don't have the webbing machine work because of the E-brake drum that is inside the rear hat and is still fully functional. Pretty wild yes?

Here is where it all began. I decided to put some 18" Konig Tantrums on my Venge, I liked how it looked so I lowered it with some MaxSpeed coil-overs & Koni adjustable shocks. It was lookin better but something was missing so I decided to add the body kit, now we're getting somewhere. The CF hood was the next addition and I haven't stopped yet.

Here is a shot of my Venge at the 2006 HIN show in Los Angeles.. You've come a long way baby...

Here are some shots showing the new G-Force carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber mirrors, carbon fiber door sills, carbon fiber door panels with Alpine tweeters in the AC ducts & the new Sparco fiberglass racing seats. I also switched the front nose clip. You will notice in some of the other pics that I had some airbrushed art work done on the CF hood & a candy red tint added.

Below are some pics of some art work I had airbrushed on the carbon fiber hood. "Rock & Roll Custom Paint" did the art work & Kandi on the hood. Kandy red was shot over the rest of the carbon fiber when the art work was done. These guys do some awesome work, check out their web site when you get a minute.

Check out the new aluminum front upper control arms that I installed recently. I had them red anodized just for fun. They allow you to adjust both caster & camber which affects tire wear on lowered vehicles and cornering traction and steering characteristics when entering and exiting a turn.
I will post updates on the quality and performance of this product as soon as I complete the installation and road test.
The install went well with no problems and making the adjustments is easy as long as you have the right equipment to adjust the camber. It is not just a matter of adding washers or spacers, as you can see in the picture the adjustment is made by sliding the pin in or out. The caster adjustments are much easier and no special tools are necessary to make caster changes.
The road test showed that caster changes affected the cornering characteristics considerably. After several caster adjustment changes I found that + 2 degree was where it felt good, turning in hard with a slight push coming out of the corner.

This is where the rear seat was before I removed it & fabricated the amp rack and installed the subs, amps, crossovers, capacitor and custom lighting. The holes on the outside of the subs is where the straps for the 4 pt harnesses go through to attach to the chassis brace.
