Wiring work courtesy of Dr.Tweak

So there u have it, complete silvertop swap completed. If u have the extra money to have someone who knows what their doing do it for u then go for it otherwise its really not that much work. Make sure when u buy a silvertop or blacktop that it is complete, engine, trans, wiring, maf, and ecu. Mine didnt come with the maf wich just took up more time and money trying to get one. Also dont mess with the wiring yourself unless u are really good at that sorta thing, I personally had Dr.Tweak at Phoenixtuning.com do mine and he does great work.
If u plan on doing the swap like this yourself get a chilton or haynes book first wich is a big help on getting the old engine out. Make sure u label all the nuts and bolts as u take them out so that u can easily locate them later, same for the interior.
The silvertop went right in without any problems, all the mounts ligned up perfectly. Since i had the wiring done it was all plug n play. You will have to do something about the powersteering, since the stock resivoir is mounted directly to the p.s pump u will need to get a resi off a camry or celica. You will also need to get a longer throttle cable, theres a few different ones u can get, mid 90's tercels have em and there are others, i personnaly got one off a 92 toyota pickup.
The exhuast is different where the exhuast bolts to the header. the bottom of the header is way bigger than the stock manifold so u will have to find one or have one made to go from the header to the cat. I personally made one.
I also used a n1 catback exhuast, which works and looks great. pretty good sound to it also.
Other than what i have written everything else is pretty self explanitory, but if any of u have questions about doing this feel free to ask in my guestbook.
Just remember i have no mechanical experience and am pretty stupid, and i did it. really doesnt take a large assortment of tools either.
