Uncle Barrys Corvette back from getting fresh paint
I had a 75 V8 Chevy Monza just like this when I was in high school...The chrome draglites were an improvement, the stupid hood scoop wasn't. I'm glad that I got rid of the stupid looking thing. I wish that I had a picture of the car with the cowl hood or the black racing stripes though, they really looked good. Damn, I miss that car.
The car had a basically stock 350, Hedman Headers, Edelbrock single plane intake, Holley 750 carb, Comp Cams cam (292 duration, .501 lift), Comp Cam roller tip rocker arms, Comp Cams hardened pushrods, Comp Cams lifters, Melling High Volume Pump, Summit double roller timing gears, turbo 350 tranny, B&M shift kit, Autometer Gauges, 2.56 gears in the stock rearend (yeah, yeah I know), best 1/4 time....13.34. Now take into consideration this was roughly 1990 when I was right out of high school, had no real job or money to spend on it to make it hook. The car was of pretty decent speed though for what it was.
