bumper and scuff plates triple chromed.. while the hinges, bonnet catch, and a few bolts got zinc plated.

popped bumper and hinges on, adjusted the hell out of the bonnet.. current pics now:

25/5/08?? dunno..

its been raining a bit lately, so ive taken all my stainless inside to polish it.
here is a comparison that doesnt show a whole lot. one done, one not.

thats all for now. gonna take the wheels to a wheel joint tomorrow to speak to them about it. allready got a price of 115 each over the phone.. which is fine by me.

1/7/08? goddamn i gotta get this done...

WELL, got the wheels back. all the hard work (masking gts rims is horrible) is yet to come. might just put them away for a bit. need to smooth out the weld area, clean the lip, sandblast the centres properly, any repairs, prime, paint, mask, paint, clear. have some billet longtail centrecaps coming soon. allready have a set, but they are the originals, and are way too easy to steal :S

also, had to clean up the seatbelts. they are actually in decent nick, but they've been in a bucket for a year or 2 now, and now look very sus!

more importantly, is the car came back from the trimmer! so glad i didnt bother putting in the headliner myself. he did such a nice job, especially for the money! :O

seats were repaired at the same time. one day ill get them done in black leather. right after the car gets gold-plated. haha

well, thats that. next things on the list are seatbelts in, pinchweld on, etc etc.. and call a glazier (?) to get the front and rear screens in. gotta pace it up for the end of the year. would like to get it to the monaro nationals in November! thanks to everyone who comments and have rated it.. having people take time to check the page out is a nice compliment. :)

Hi Ross! I really enjoyed reading the progress of your project. You are to be congratulated on the result. Lotta work but your Munro is looking absolutely fantastic! I restored a 1976 Torana and I know about the frustrations and costs, but the result, if it has been done right the first time (ie your approach) is a car that you can be very proud of. Keep up the progress pics! Cheers, Ian
