hit a bloody milestone this weekend!.. the car is back from paint! :D
looks amazing.. honestly, the pics dont show it right. Thats straight off the gun too!!
will give it a good buff and a wax when its done.
but hell.. onto the pics! :)

as you can see, i started to put all sorts of lenses/rubbers/bumpstops on.. aswell as a GTS rim JUST to see what itd look like! ;p
how good do the cad-plated bolts holding it together look though! so bright on the yellow... :)

oh, and on a now less-interesting note, ive been polishing the stainless. all by hand though - i think im going to need to buy a big buffing disk....

funnily enough, today is the day my motor was built. 32 years ago. 6th of march 1976 at 6pm.
anyway, here is a pic of the engine at the moment. all back together and ready to go back in. fan and acc belt will go on when the engine is in so i have more room..

n this is the 'motor-hole'. restored the wipermotor as it stands out way too much to look like schite!

wow.. almost may 08. what the hell.. :S
anyway, heap of pics to show little progress.

stuff sent to the platers. my 4 best scuff plates, bonnet hinges and catch.

spoiler back from being painted. its actually a cleared 2k black to match the rest, but in this photo its been wetsanded and cut. im gonna have to mount it on the car before i can polish it up as i cant hold it properly! haha

charcoal canister after ive cleaned it all up. stripped the bracket and spayed in GM satin black.

Hi Ross! I really enjoyed reading the progress of your project. You are to be congratulated on the result. Lotta work but your Munro is looking absolutely fantastic! I restored a 1976 Torana and I know about the frustrations and costs, but the result, if it has been done right the first time (ie your approach) is a car that you can be very proud of. Keep up the progress pics! Cheers, Ian

followed your re build, nice job an well done. been looking at getting a 75 hj monaro thats not to shabby, needs hoodlining dash and a repaint but apart from that not much more than a dam good cleanup an sills.
