yet another page... with more progress.. i guess... :/

engine was bloody tired looking, so i stripped most of it down to re-do it. not going 100% spankers, but good enough until it can get completley re-built.. acid dipped and all that... hehe

^ all scuffed back, smooth and ready to be painted. i use two 2000watt spotties to heat/lightup the paint.

got all the stuff i need to put it all back together:

new waterpump, waterpump gasket, exhaust gaskets, intake manifold gasket, drive belt, and rocker cover gaskets.

all for now. but in other 'news'... ill go off and pick up my retrimmed doorcards and rear parcel shelf in a few days. takes a month, and i gave the old ones to the trimmer people (Estern Auto upholstery) a couple weeks ago. should be good. hopefully.. :p

cleaned up the manifold. was going to paint it silver, but ended up just scrubbing the fark out of it which looks just as nice and will probably be more durable.

a sorta before and after. both alternators looked the same beforehand, albeit one bein a bosch, and the other not.
cleaned up the bosch, lots of light sanding, and repainted the fins and pulley.

Hi Ross! I really enjoyed reading the progress of your project. You are to be congratulated on the result. Lotta work but your Munro is looking absolutely fantastic! I restored a 1976 Torana and I know about the frustrations and costs, but the result, if it has been done right the first time (ie your approach) is a car that you can be very proud of. Keep up the progress pics! Cheers, Ian
