^brand new, genuine GM (not N.O.S though??) fan shroud.

^the proper jack for the car. this one is in pretty fkn good nick for its age...

^those of you with a good eye woulda noticed the car was missing these (from page 1). theyre chrome strips for the door beltline. just need a polish, and a small didnt tapped out.

^again, any of you with an eagle eye would have also noticed i was missing a monaro badge! (from the front right quaterpanel/fender). bit tatty at the moment, but who would buy a repro one when you can get an original! haha

^also been re-doing the wheels (GM RALLY II's). just waiting for the weather to pickup before i do the blackouts. been a bit on the cold side the last few days.

^n just cos im a goddamn picwhore; i swiped a never-been-used ashtray from the wreckers. gotta love havin such a big-ass toolbox! heheh
..
anyway, went n saw the shell at the panelbeaters the other day. its comin' along pretty damn good. just a few more things i need to gather in the mean-time though.

^ rims 'before'. they were hella ratty, and painted in the wrong order. thankfully the paint protected the metal, but looked like crap. hehe.

SILVRMXSIK's 1976 Holden Monaro

^ washed/gurney'd/scrubbed the front AND back.. paint aint gonna stick to dirt.

SILVRMXSIK's 1976 Holden Monaro

^ all four centercaps and wheel trims washed up fine. they still look good.
the centercaps are genuine holden 3-clip ones.. dunno about the trimrings though. look sorta different to originals.

^ after alot of painful wetsanding, they are smooth...

SILVRMXSIK's 1976 Holden Monaro

^ they were then prep-sol'd, and sprayed in etch primer...

SILVRMXSIK's 1976 Holden Monaro

^ sprayed silver all over (photo missing). in this pic they are allready masked up ready for the blackouts. i just masked the whole lot and cut the excess away with a razor-blade.

^ finally, all the paint is done. in a week or so ill scuff them a bit, and clear them. anyway, they look grouse, and there is tons of metallic 'flake' in the silver. just need a car to put them on! :/

Hi Ross! I really enjoyed reading the progress of your project. You are to be congratulated on the result. Lotta work but your Munro is looking absolutely fantastic! I restored a 1976 Torana and I know about the frustrations and costs, but the result, if it has been done right the first time (ie your approach) is a car that you can be very proud of. Keep up the progress pics! Cheers, Ian
