This is my 1968 mercury cougar standard it is a early 68 so it came with a 289 now its got a built 289 with a 650 holly double pumper carb, edlebrock performer rpm manifold, 10:1 flat top pistons, ported and polished heads, and gear drive. electric fan and water pump, built c4 transmition with a shift kit with a narrowed nine inch rearend with with a locker and 389 gears there is to much engine stuff to list. The exhaust has full lengh headers with 3 inch piping and flow master 40 series mufflers. I am going to be re-painting it gun metal grey with a single black stripe or black and black interior, then i will be updating the suspension to coil overs front/rear and converting the tranny to a 5 speed manual!

The interior is getting done right now by cascade classics in edgewood wa. which is where i get most of my cougar parts www.cascadeclassics.com

my cougar as it sits right now

new wheels and tires! 20" american racings!

Blacked out grilles and taillights!

I am going to swap the 20s for 18x10 and 18x8 shelby cobra rims

I put the cragers back on because i am selling the american racings

Nice ride but I liked the original rims better. The 20" rims look too big for the old coug. I think the 18" Shelby ones will suit the car better. Let me know what they look like when you put them on.
