dilandau2004's 2000 Honda Civic dilandau2004's 2000 Honda Civic

This is my project car and daily driver, a 2000 Civic LX, as it was when I got it. I saw it in its wrecked state and decided it was worth it to fix. It's floating a bit above stock at the moment. I'm out of school and looking for a real job so it could take awhile to save up enough money to do the more expensive mods.

I recently decided that the direction I want to move in is to convert this thing into a 4 door Civic Si. It's an odd angle that no one in their right mind would want to do. That's why I'm doing it. This means swapping in a b16a2, Si cluster, Si seats, Si suspension, Si rear disc brakes, Si rims... the list goes on. Some of this is feasable. Some of it isn't. It won't have a moonroof unless something falls on the roof and I can weld on a roof from an EX, for example. This will be a long process. I don't have a lot of extra money but what I can spare will go into the car. In the end it should look like a mostly stock 2000 Civic Si, except it'll have 4 doors instead of 2.

Here are the mods and add-ons I have currently installed/done:
Custom "civic" 3rd brake light (summer 2006)
Jensen 500 watt amp
Alpine CDE-9841 head unit
Four Crossfire CF310d subwoofers installed in a custom boxes (June 2007-August 2007)
OEM spoiler (7/25/07)
Spyder style Clear/Red tail lights (10/27/07)
Debadged (3/28/08) (debadged properly 11/08)
OEM-style clear fog lights (7/26/08)
Relocated head unit (7/26/08)
Cold air intake (7/27/08)
Painted valve cover (8/1/08)
Alpine Type R 6.5s (10/7/08)
Alpine Type R 6x9s (10/7/08)
CTR style front and rear lip (2/4/09)
CTR style grille painted to match body (3/29/09)
Fog bezels and mirrors painted to match body (3/29/09)
DIY Black housing headlights (4/09)
Front lip, rear lip, door handles, and side skirts color matched to body (5/20/09)
Rear disc brake conversion (5/29/09)
Civic Si rims with Kumho Ecseta AST 205/50R15 tires (6/20/09)
Black interior (month of June, long process)
Integra LS leather seats (7/10-11/09)
S2000 AP2 steering wheel (7/29/09)
Acura Integra map light (9/20/09)

I am at a point where I will need some feedback on my plans and progress on this car, so I'll be updating this page as often as I can. We'll see about some mods when I get some cash saved up.

Haha, I decided to try out this CarDomain video thing and uploaded a couple of amusing and entertaining videos that I'd found on the web. I checked back a bit later and BOTH of them got blogged about. That's AWESOME.

10/21/07
I ordered some tail lights. They'll be here sometime this week.

10/25/07
Tails are here. Will install tomorrow.

3/30/08
I debadged the Civic a few days ago, but it didn't go well. It wasn't my fault though. I'm not the first owner, so I couldn't have known. Pictures on page 3.

7/12/08
I have a few things in progress, so there will be more updates in the next few days. I've got a cold air intake, grille, and fog lights coming, and I have a center console modification planned. All the pieces just have to get here so I can get it all started.

7/27/08
I finished adding the fog lights, grille, and cold air intake. I also relocated my head unit to the 96-98 location and put the stock one back up top.

9/1/08
Due to heavy rains, I decided to convert my cold air intake into a short ram intake. The filter was getting more than a little water against it. I also swapped out the cheap ebay air filter with a higher quality one.

10/7/08
Both sets of Alpine Type R speakers came in. They are SPR-17Cs and SPR-69Cs, installed today. Pics on the audio page.

11/5/08
A little old lady hit my car and wrecked the passenger side pretty good, but insurance covered the damage. Pics on the exterior page.

2/4/09
I installed a Type R front and rear lip kit. Pics on the exterior page. Rims are on the way, I promise. I have them sitting in my room RIGHT NOW and they just need paint.

3/15/09
I installed some Acura RSX washer nozzles on the hood. Much better. Update on rims: I have some hub centric rings and tuner lugs. The rims are painted and ready to go. I'm thinking about upgrading the rear drum brakes to disc brakes, and that thought has rims on hold for a little.

3/29/09
I updated the front end of the car. Pics on the exterior mod page.

3/31/09
RIMS! Pics on the exterior page.

5/20/09
I finished painting all of the trim: side skirts, door handles, front lip, rear lip. All of it is color matched to the rest of the body now. Looks a LOT cleaner. Pics on the exterior page.

7/12/09
Haven't updated in awhile. I converted to rear disc brakes, added some Civic Si rims, converted to a black interior, put in some Integra LS leather seats, and am in the process of finding an S2000 steering wheel. Pics on several pages.

7/29/09
I forgot to add that I found an S2000 steering wheel over at Honda-Tech and installed it on the Civic. Pics on the Interior page.

9/20/09
I added a map light from a 1997 Integra LS 4 door. It didn't fit so I modified it to fit. Pic on interior page.
