x77911s 92.929
Bad News - As of 4/28/03 the 92.929 will ride no more. Incurred major engine damage on 4/27 and cannot justify the repair & replacement of the parts. The 929 WILL run. It's for sale, as is. I'll have pics of my 1998 Mustang soon so stay tuned.
Here goes my 929.

I have owned it for about a year and a half and put nearly 30k miles on it. I love the way this car rides, drives, sounds, and looks (sometimes it even smells good, too). I haven't done much that anyone else couldn't do to his car on a meager budget like mine. Now, check me out...

For rolling stock I chose 245/30/17 Yokohama AV1 40i. They aren't great in bad weather, but I don't care at all 'cos the stick they have when the roads are dry make up for having to corner slowly and brake early in the rain anyways.

About the tires not being great in the weather and all... Late in Oct. I was driving up 287N and was exiting onto 510W. I was going a bit fast (ca. 60mph) and got the tail out. The ramp is a slow right, decreasing-radius. The first few seconds were all fun as I counter steered and had (almost) complete control. Then suddenly the tires caught traction and my countersteer sent me over the curb and straight towards the guardrail. I managed to avoid the rail, but my wheels are bent to shit and my right front tire is cut. Here comes a good excuse for some new bigger wheels.
Here's the damage to the front wheel and tire:

Look at the flat spot. BAM!
...And the rear wheel

It's utter crap that this happened since I've been extra careful up to that point and never touch the curb, hit a pothole, etc. Oh well...
My New Tire Damage Pics (Note the Busted Ass Sidewalls)

Apparently they aren't going to make these tires anymore since they've been replaced by the AVSdB, which is too bad. When I have the tires warmed up I can hear them picking up anything and everything on the road. Over tar expansion strips they make this great sucking sound. Onramps that I could previously take at only 35-40 mph, I am handling easily at twice the rate of speed (testing performed on closed roads, of course). The Yokohamas are mounted on (I know the name is queer..) Sport Edition Tekno wheels. They have a design which I enjoy on the 929 and although they are not the lightest, they do enhance the look of the car.

Here is the vehicle with the stock 15" alloys.
