This is my 1985 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. I just bought it on October 15th. I happened to see it on the internet one night and called about it the next day. It was only $500. Not a bad deal I must say. Sure, it needs work but it was well worth it. The car has a little over 135,000 miles on it but it runs amazingly well. It starts right up and runs smooth and clean. It has a 5.0L and a 4 spd automatic in it. It was a single owner car (that makes me the second owner) and he just tuned up just recently, put all new belts on, new battery and best of all, brand new Flowmaster exhaust. Its got that great American V8 rumble. It needs some work though. The back spoiler is missing, the interior is a mess because the passenger side window got stuck down (took me 10 minutes to fix it...lol) and it sat out in the weather for a while. The weatherstripping around the windows and t-tops is almost brand new and the t-tops don't leak a drop. The console looks like someone took a hammer to it (shame, shame), it needs front end alignment, and the interior basically needs to be gutted. The carpets are a mess and the seats are torn up under the seat covers that came on them. And of course, it will need to be painted....but not yet....
I'm a full time college student working part time, so it will take a little while to work on it but it will be well worth the wait. This is my first car.....I consider myself very lucky to be able to get a Trans Am for my first car and to find one for $500. I've always wanted a car to work on....now I finally got one!! Check out my pictures...I'll be adding more later!!
These are the first pictures that I saw of the car when it was on the internet.
This is where I saw it for the first time when I went to go look at it.

There's me with my car (it was signed over to me at this point so it was really my car then) when I was getting in and about to take it to it's new home.
Going home on I95, my dad took a few pictures of my car out while we were driving. He's got a 1987 Cougar that he got for $450. (You can see his car parked next to mine in an earlier picture too...)
Okay, now here's some pictures of after I got it home and washed it...yes, yes, it looks like 10 times better now that it's clean.
I have some more pictures that I will be uploading later. Please sign my guestbook and let me know what you think of the car and give me your comments and suggestions!!
