i'm creating this profile to show case the work i've done to my '82 Chevette. i picked this car up in late 2002 for the hefty sum of $50 as a non running car that needed a transmission. at the time i had a lot of parts laying around and i wanted to make it into a solid daily driver and later something more impressive. of course things changed and these plains fell by the wayside as gas prices went nuts. this car with a couple simple modifications gets 40+ mpg and i've decided this is just to good to lose. i am therefore going to try and limit myself to improvements in areas that won't harm the gas mileage of this car. i'm going to be updating with pics of past and present pics as time allows.

it's not this pastel in real life but its still crazy bright. heres a pic of it before i painted it its behind my mustang but you can see the major reason i painted the car.

because this car is my daily driver i wanted a paint job that was cheap and would be easy to touch up. i was thinking of rattle caning the the whole thing however i have trouble getting paint from a spray can even over large areas. then i stumbled across the answer one day in walmart, rustoleum in a gallon can. i figured what the heck i'll give it a try. the paint turned out pretty good however most 'car people' know something isn't normal with the paint.

stands out in a crowd don't it
