Performance is something I have always had in mind. But money is tight for now while in finishing the old undergad degree. But I do have a full time job and have been able to give the SVT some needed boost in power. It started with a custom intake I fabricated from some intercooler pipe shown above.

The SVTF received an exhaust overhaul with a Random Technology High-Flow Cat and 2.25" Stainless Magnaflow system. The SVT Focus comes with the most efficient Header and Catback systems possible. The Magnaflow Catback is for sound.

But now the boost has been added and the car feels like a little rocket ship. The Jackson Racing Eaton M62 Supercharger and Ford Racing Big Boost Kit allow this car to motor. I will be making some dyno runs after the purchase of a 65mm or 67mm throttle body, porting the Supercharger inlet, and a 2.5" Borla Catback. These additions should max out the setup before adding any chemical cooling or Nitrous. However, other SVT Foci with this set up have seen as much as 220whp and 185wtq. Nice numbers for a car weighing in under 2700 pounds.
The Install progress...
Below is how the stock motor looks with the Airbox pulled. Before you install the blower; the airbox and the dual stage intake must get yanked.

After the dual-stage intake manifold gets yanked....look at all that open space!

Me aligning the new alternator bracket before the manifold and blower gets installed.

This is with the blower installed and the Stock SVT header.

One more picture after the new Coated Ford Racing Header is installed.

Recently Dynoed. After seeing dynos of other Jackson Racing SVT Foci hitting high 190s to low 200whp, figured mine would be in the same ball park with IAT at the dyno being nearly 90 degrees. I was dead on the money. Contribute these low numbers to poor tuning from Ford Racing. My A/F was pegged at 10.9 and under from 4100 RPM right up to 7300 RPM redline. Losing a good amount of power from an extremely rich tune. Here is the dynojet graph and data table.

ReDynoed this past winter in January and finally hit the number the kit was advertised with. Only took 40 degree cooler weather and increased spark plug gap.

Finally Updated the suspension to a strong setup. Went ahead and purchased and installed H&R Race Springs with KYB AGX Adjustable Shocks. For further adjustments, I installed SPC rear adjustable camber arms and up front I installed Leo Capaldi Racing Camber plates. The car feels fantastic.
