Hello everyone, my name is Tim and I would like to introduce to you my friend Sonic Boost. Sonic received its name from its paint color "Sonic Blue". The Boost comes from the newly acquired and installed Jackson Racing Supercharger and Ford Racing Big Boost Kit (220whp and 180wtq).

Honestly, SVT should have included this Eaton roots-type supercharger from the factory. Every SVT produced from 2002-2004 had a blower, except the Focus SVT. The Focus SVT was built during production years with the current SRT-4, RSX Type S, and Cobalt SS Supercharged sport-compacts. If the Focus SVT included the supercharger from the factory, it certainly would be the overall front runner of the sport-compact world.

I originally bought this car to get out of my Ford Contour, and I could not have asked for anything better. Purchased January 2004, I never imagined how much fun I would be having with this car. I liked its clean exterior, performance, and comfort, and most importantly its value. The 170bhp (~150whp) and 145bhp (~130wtq.), 6 Speed Gertrag, and sport tuned suspension SVT Focus is a blast to drive stock. The smile just gets bigger as the power goes up.

The goal is to adapt Sonic Boost into an aggressive street, track, and show-ready car. This car was designed from the factory to be competitive, and that is where I want to take it. Sonic Boost is #246 of only 4788 produced in 2002. The SVT body kit is a definite upgrade over a stock Focus and makes the hatch appealing, clean, and sharp. Bodykits, gigantic spoilers, and hundreds of decals will never "grace" Sonic; sharp handling, performance, and style is what lays ahead. Welcome to the progression of Sonic Boost.
