This Suburban was running at one point during my ownership of it and it pains me to say that it has been transmissionless for the past three months. A new one would cost me $1500 big ones and and I can't rebuild the one that I have because the one that I have is completely destroyed. All of the components are damaged or broken.bigmanocampo's 1992 Chevrolet Suburban
Well, when it was working, it was different from other suburbans when you really looked at it and studied its appearance. It was completely primed on the outside, roof rails shaved off, the black trim running along the sides was removed, and the rear bumper was also removed. It has 5% tint all the way around and its 15 inch chrome american racing wheels added to that look.
I've been told that when they would see me driving it, that it would be the kind of vehicle that you would use for "beef" or "jacking" or for you street language challenged people, it looked like it was used to start trouble or commit crimes. I guess it was mainly because I would drive it fast and you couldn't see who was driving it because the tint is so damn dark. Something really big and mean lookin' like that going down a 30mph zone at 80mph with a badass sound system in it that shakes your house windows from the street is a symbol of power.
I had two Kicker Comp VR 15s in the back with a BX1500 Hifonics amp pushing them and I wired it all with an AK4000, a 4 guage amp kit made by Earthquake. God was this a loud ass bitch! People though I had two or three 18s or four or five 12s, or some brand of really expensive subs with really expensive amps on them. The entire setup put a $790 hole in my wallet. Not much when you consider the fact that people thought I had something worth two or three times that much.
That is why I'm inclined to fix this truck and restore it to its previous glory no matter what.
