2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart
(Canadian Spec)

 

Purchased 13 Oct 2006 from West Side Mitsubishi in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

 

Here it is the day I picked it up from the dealer,

 

           

 

          

 

Drove across Canada (via USA) 6 months later to move to beautiful  Trenton, Ontario, Canada.

ENGINE:

Mitsubishi Hyper Ground System (Red)
P/N MZ312863

K&N Panel Filter
P/N 33-2105

K&N has been replaced with AEM Short Ram System w/Dryflow Filter
P/N 22-436P

 

PCV Oil Catch Tank (Red)
E-Bay

 

 

As you can see, the inside tubes are of diffenet lengths. I recommend placing the longer one in the "OUTER" hole as the "IN" fitting and placing the shorter one in the "INNER" hole, as the "OUT" fitting. I also recommend putting a stainless steel scrub pad inside. It can be done as shown in the picture. But, it does take some time and patience.

 

                                   

 

                                   

 

           

 

Throttle Body Coolant Bypass 
I decided to remove the throttle body for this mod...

                     

 

and check this out!

This is what the inside of your intake manifold looks like without a PCV valve oil catch tank installed.  It's coated in a film of oil! Oil from the PCV valve.

Now that's not good for airflow! Is it!

 

 

When I get this cleaned out, I'll take some pics of what it should look like and show how well the PCV valve oil catch tank works.
