This is my 1971 Plymouth Duster Twister

I have had the car since 1989 and it was painted in 1992, It's originally Hemi orange(and a manual trans.) which sold me on the car when I found it. When I got it in 1989 it actually had a Demon/Dart front clip twin scoops and all(Gave the hood away must be crazy!) must have been in a crash at one time. Found the parts to bring it back to original the sharktooth grille which is original since it is a Twister was a little difficult getting out of my buddy but $$ talks. Its not a #'s matching car, now it has a 4 speed in place of the original 3spd, the car has the little 318 which is not the original engine but it did come with the V8. It has the small chambered 273 heads which bumps the compression ratio up a bit, Mopar Performance cam(450/455 268/272duration) which was about the same spec's to the early 340's, Along with headers, Speed Demon 650. Out back it has the bullet proof 8 3/4 with 3.55's. The little engine barks nicely out the rear through a pair of Flowmasters which makes it sound a little stronger than it really is. I ran 15.01@93 mph last time I ran it down the quarter(1993), Im sure it is good for a little better time if I learned to launch it. The seat's are not from 71 they are 74 seats but the car was all ready not # matching and had the seats so had them redone in 2005. When I paint the car again which I intend too it will get the decal kit which I been going to do since it was painted, theres a little rust coming on the rockers and a couple little bubbles on the front fenders behind the wheels now, but to be expected was painted in August 1992. Its a little 318 but no one think's so when they hear it, they always think its A 340. *UPDATE July/August 2007* This summer I put a 70 340 in place of the 318. The 340 is stock except for a little more cam and A LD340 intake.
