All drivetrain Bay-bay! that and everything associated with it.

I plan on keeping it naturally aspirated(n/a), no turbo conversions or nitrous(She's not astmatic). Main part of the plan is a 4bbl carb and the best flowing header I've seen and lets not forget dual exhaust. Removing any and everything that is a parasitic load.

Here's a bit of info I found on 2.3's: <a href="http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/4cylinders.html">Ranger Station</a>, <a href="http://www.boportforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=generaltech&action=display&thread=8">BoPortForum</a>, <a href="http://www.rothfam.com/svo/reference/23torque.pdf">Rothfam 2.3 torque specs etc.</a>

Now what you see here is the 7.5 axle that will be replaced with an 8.8 axle. I was going to source a Cobra IRS but decided that this car doesnt need it nomatter how much horsepower this 140 ends up with, a 8.8 live axle with a 3-link and Watts, will be lighter and probably just as good.

I will be going with a Mandril(sp?) bent dual exhaust. Now for those of you who dont know the exhaust on a 2.3 is on the passenger side and then after the tranny crossmember uses a Cat Conv. as a crossover to the driver side. My plan is the add a T-pipe where the cat is at now. Shortly after that a set of Cherrybomb glasspacks and all the way at the end some mufflers I dont think have ever been on a Mustang.. I'm thinking of doing something similar to my future Crown Vic.

As much as I say less is more which is why I dont wanna do alot of this is I want to anodize a few parts. and powdercoat some parts instead of painting everything.I was gonna use metalcast for the look on a few things but a few select parts will be anodized such as: the diff cover, valve cover, exhaust tips(hopefully), Driveshaft(hopefully), Rims. Speaking of rims the Keystons on it have fake plastic allen heads that I think I will restore. Seeing as the intake probably cant be anadized I may see about powdercoating it I'm still working out the engine area aside from the valve cover. Aswell as PC'ing the rear axle, gas tank cover, lugnuts. Most likely the anodized stuff will be red and the powdercoated stuff will be black.
