Here is my '81 Z28 "DETONATOR". It was originally silver with the factory tri-color (red, light red, and orange) Z28 stripes. It did'nt look bad before, but I just wanted something different.
It is now gun steel grey with chrome stripes, 2003 Z28 emblems, and a 1967 cross flag emblem on the gas tank door. I also installed a torpedo hood from Fiberglass Fab USA in Chattanooga, Tennessee and ground effects from Classic Industries in Huntington beach, California.
Althought the interior has been restored to stock I have added a few modifications. It has a wood grain dash and shift plate kit, a Kenwood sound system, and an overhead console from an '84 Camaro. The overhead console fits nicely and it looks great, but I would'nt suggest this modification unless you have alot of power tools and patience.
