RECENT UPGRADES (SUMMER 2007)
I recently had the car out on the track at Racecity Speedway in Calgary and put up some decent times. That is, compared to what I was going up against and the fact that this is, after all, a civic. It got me inspired again...
I just got the car lowered ~1", the handling is really no different unless I adjust my shocks (installed previously) but the ride height and unsightly wheel gap have fixed up nicely.
I just upgraded the front brakes to Powerslot rotors and Hawk HPS pads, and swapped the rear drums for new units (all components were powder-coated black). The upgrade is minor (no big brakes, caliper upgrades, drum-to-disc conversion etc.) but it makes a noticeable difference when the majority of your stopping power is in the front.
After some tuning, she's ready for the dyno. All this has got me back enjoying every minute I'm behind the wheel, re-inspired and having a blast!
Future Upgrades...we'll see...
- Water Injection (Snow Performance Stage 2 Boost Cooler)
- AEM high volume fuel rail
- AEM adjustable fuel pressure regulator
- passwordJDM center console conversion
- rear/trunk stereo additions and completions
